Construction worker charged after allegedly being nabbed with illegal gun
CLARENDON, Jamaica — A Clarendon man has been charged with unauthorised possession of a firearm after an incident on Monday.
Charged is 47-year-old Nashon Garelle, a construction worker of Coates Pen in Clarendon.
Reports are that about 1:20 am, a police team was on mobile patrol in the area, when the lawmen saw Garelle acting in a manner that aroused their suspicion. He was reportedly accosted, searched and one Taurus .38 pistol was taken from his waistband.
He was subsequently arrested and charged after giving a caution statement to the police.
His court date is being arranged
