American fugitive held in Manchester extradited
An 18-year-old American who fled to Jamaica to avoid charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment among others, has been extradited.

Matthew Joel Pinnock, who was wanted in New York, was arrested during a pre-dawn operation carried out by members of the Jamaica Fugitve Apprehension Team and the special operations team from Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations Branch (C-TOC) in the Green Vale community of Manchester on Wednesday November 23, 2022,
OBSERVER ONLINE sources said the police team, who were acting on information, went to a two-storey concrete structure dwelling in Green Vale where the house was searched and Pinnock was found hiding.
He was subsequently taken into custody without incident and transported to the Kingston Central police lockup pending his Extradition Hearing.
A Provisional Warrant of Arrest under the Extradition Act of 1991 was executed on him and he appeared in the Corporate Area Parish Court where he was ordered extradited.
Pinnock was escorted out of the island by American law enforcement agents on Wednesday.
