‘Shampoo’ killed in St Elizabeth
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Police are probing the murder of a man in Barbary Hall in southwest St Elizabeth on Monday night.
Police named the deceased as 34-year-old Shanji Foster otherwise called ‘Shampoo’, a mechanic and resident of Williamsfield district in southwest St Elizabeth.
A police report said about 9:30 pm, Foster was at a shop Barbary Hall when a gunman pounced from the side of the building and fired one shot hitting Foster.
The injured man was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that hours later, another man was shot and injured at a party in Vineyard district (near Black River). It is unclear if the incidents are related.
