Kingston man charged after two illegal guns found at home

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 29-year-old man is charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, following the seizure of two firearms and several rounds of ammunition at his home on Wareika Road, Rockfort, in Kingston on Sunday, December 18.

Charged is Omar Murray.

Reports from the Elletson Road Police are that about 4:30 am, a joint police/military team conducted a targeted raid at the premises.

During the search, a Taurus 9mm pistol, with a magazine containing six 9mm cartridges, and a Sig-Sauer 9mm pistol with a magazine containing two 9mm cartridges were seized.
