Five minutes with Rum-Bar Jamaica ambassador TC
RUM-BAR Jamaica is staging Vibes Fest, an islandwide series that will begin on December 23 at Skateland.
The free concert series will come jam-packed with a line-up of artists, including Money Pon My Mind Jahvillani and Bad Gyal Stalk Ashley among others. ZJ Chrome and host TC will be bringing the vibes for the Christmas and into the new year.
We sat down with the former Spice dancer, host, and entertainer TC.
C&E: What does taking on the role of host for a major event like this one mean for your career?
TC: I haven’t done anything as big as hosting a major concert series before. I’m excited to be on the road and meet the Rum-Bar fans and, of course, bring the vibes.
C&E: How long have you been affiliated with Rum-Bar?
TC: Our relationship started in 2020 when I was featured in Rum-Bar’s TV commercial. Then in January I became their brand ambassador, and now being able to host is a great opportunity for me. I’m hoping to do more with them as I grow as a brand.
C&E: What do you hope to see on the line-up?
TC: I hope to see more upcoming artistes. There’s so much good dancehall music. As an entertainer I love hearing different sounds that inspire me to create.
C&E: What other stops are on the series?
TC: Other stops in the series scheduled so far for the new year include the parishes of Portland, St James, and St Elizabeth.
