WATCH: Moulton White’s attorney threatens civil suit after fraud charges
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Attorney-at-law Bert Samuels, who is representing banking executive Alysia Moulton White, said he intends to file a civil lawsuit on behalf of his client over what he described as trumped-up charges against her.
Moulton White, the vice-president of group marketing for Sagicor Group Jamaica, was on Wednesday charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy to defraud.

Samuels said his client is maintaining her innocence and intends to take legal action over reputational damage.
“We wish to say that Ms Moulton White is totally innocent,” Samuels said.
“We are anxious to find out, when we go to court, on what basis was this vice president charged. We are going to take legal action, a civil suit, against all those who are concerned in trumping up these charges,” he added.
He said Moulton White is scheduled to answer to the charges in court on February 23, 2023.
Samuels said his client’s charges are not related to the multi-million dollar fraud case involving two other former employees of the financial institution, Malika McLeod, and Trecia Moulton.
Moulton served as manager at the bank’s Liguanea Branch in St Andrew and is sister to Moulton White.
Sagicor Group recently indicated that it was parting ways with Moulton White, informing that her position would “no longer form part of the structure” effective December 31.
