THE Jamaica Institution of Engineers (JIE) recognised outstanding engineering achievements at their annual awards dinner and gala on November 12.
The premier award of the night was presented to engineer David Smith, director of quality & innovation at Smith Warner International and a senior lecturer (part time) in the Faculty of Engineering, The University of the West Indies, Mona, in coastal engineering and fluid mechanics. He was recognised for “distinguished achievements and tremendous contribution to engineering”.
