Man accused of robbing taxi passenger on Constant Spring Road
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A man was charged with illegal possession of a firearm following an incident on Constant Spring Road in Kingston on Friday, October 21.
Charged is 33-three-year-old Ramond Robinson, otherwise called ‘Pookee’, of a Wint Road address in the parish.
Reports from the Half Way Tree Police are that about 2:00 pm, Robinson boarded a white Toyota Probox motorcar with three men aboard when upon reaching a section of the roadway, one of the men brandished a firearm and instructed the driver to drive onto another route. The complainant was robbed of his property then released from the vehicle.
Robinson, who was already in custody after being charged with several other offences, was charged in relation to this incident after he was positively identified on Wednesday, November 16.
