Vows: I’ll Aways Love You
“Although Latoya Russell and I both attended Windward Road All-Age School I could hardly imagine that she’d one day be walking up the aisle to become my wife” — Gary Anderson to Tuesday Style Vows (TSV).
In fact, the two lost contact with each other after leaving school. Decades later they reconnected at a session in Nannyville where they exchanged numbers and this time around kept in touch.
Nine years later, on December 18, 2018, Gary proposed to her at the Moon Palace Resort. She accepted!
Here comes the bride
Gary and Latoya exchanged wedding vows at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel. For her special day Latoya chose a nude illusion gown with rhinestone details from Montego Bay-based fashion designer Leshawn Malcolm. She was escorted up the aisle by her stepfather, Denzil Malcom.
Patiently awaiting her arrival was her bridegroom, smart in black and white suiting from international menswear designer Carlton Brown.
Pastor Nevroy Francis was the wedding officiant.
The reception…
… followed inside the Terra Nova’s Pavilion which was beautifully transformed by Nykia Taylor and her team from Design VUs by Nyika, who used shades of blush pink and burgundy to create a cosy, romantic space. Ding Dong’s Stir Fry announced the arrival of the newly-weds.
Formalities were handled by wedding compère Dorian Harris and included the newly-weds’ first dance as husband and wife to George Benson’s Kisses in the Moonlight; the cutting of the three-tiered wedding cake by Patricia Miller McDonald, and a three-course meal catered by the hotel’s award-winning team.
Led by Mr & Mrs Gary Anderson guests danced until the wee hours of the morning to tunes spun by DJ Plazmatik.
The newly-weds later mini-mooned at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel before heading to the Moon Palace Jamaica All Inclusive Resort.
