Businessman killed, one injured in PJ Patterson Highway crash
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A businessman of Spanish Town in St Catherine was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the PJ Patterson Highway on Thursday, December 1.
The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Neville Peart.
Reports are that about 8:30 pm, Peart was driving a Toyota Hilux motor truck towards Clarendon when his vehicle collided with a Nissan motor van, which then crashed into the median and overturned.
Peart sustained serious injuries and was assisted to the hospital by a passerby.
The driver of the Nissan motor van also sustained injuries and was assisted to the hospital by the police.
Peart later succumbed to his injuries while being treated.
The Ferry Police are investigating.
