How do you rate the quality of play?
Warren Barrett ( former Reggae Boyz captain)
The quality has been really good, which is not surprising as many players at the moment are in the early stages of their domestic season, so they are mentally and physically in a good place, unlike at the end of the season when they are drained from playing too many games.
Andrew Price (football coach and analyst)
I think the quality has been very high. I think this has been assisted by the timing of the tournament, with a lot of players just leaving their clubs with preseason and a third of the season underway.
Trishana McGowan (CVM TV World Cup hos)
I think that the quality of play has been good. We know of the injuries coming in and some players have picked up injuries in the competition and have to be nursing those, but in terms of the quality of play, for this time of the season, it is good. We are seeing some brilliant goals, good defending, and good passes from midfield, so I think overall the quality of play in all different areas of the field has been good.
Damion Lowe (Reggae Boyz defender, CVM TV World Cup analyst)
There have been some beautiful displays from the top of the table to the bottom, especially from the Brazilian team. I have been really impressed. It goes to show that football has evolved over the years and everyone is now good.
Tanya Lee (athlete manager and head of LEEP Marketing)
Very good quality of play so far. We are seeing so many upsets because players are fresh and there is a wide spread of talent across the board. The gap is closing to the point at which most groups have gone down to the wire and Saudi Arabia, Japan, Morocco, and Costa Rica with some classic upsets. There are no small teams anymore.
