Galilee Assembly Basic receives supplies from Crichton Mullings & Associates
A stalwart for early childhood education in Clarendon, Galilee Assembly Basic School in Rocky Point recently received well-needed supplies for the new school term. The items were donated by Crichton Mullings & Associates, an accounting firm with offices in Kingston, Miramar, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia.
The company presented books, bags, a LaserJet printer and cash to Principal Yvonne Hibbert, students and the staff. The funds will go toward the painting of the school.
Gospel singer Cecil “Sone G” Wilson, who attended the handover event, is a past student of Galilee Assembly Basic School. He is also an employee of Crichton Mullings & Associates in Florida.
Leary Mullings, a senior partner with Crichton Mullings & Associates, led a delegation from his organisation to Rocky Point where he made the donation to Principal Hibbert.
“Crichton Mullings believes strongly in its social development responsibilities and cares deeply about early childhood education. The fact that one of our staff was a member of the school only crystalises our conviction. Our team was excited to spend the day with the children, their parents, Ms Hibbert and her staff,” the company said in a statement.
Wilson grew up in Rocky Point, a bustling fishing region that has produced notable persons such as singer Cocoa Tea. Known for songs like Spirit a Move and Miss Jamaica, Wilson is a tax accountant with Crichton Mullings & Associates.
