Lanae steals the show
Dancehall sensation Lanae was the headline act at the birthday bash for El Gringo Records’s CEO Reece Dry earlier this week in Windsor Heights, St Catherine.
The birthday bash also marked the music release party of Jah Tee, who is the first major act signed by the UK-based label, El Gringo Records.
“This was a momentous occasion for me and for Jah Tee, who is signed to El Gringo Records. He is the first artist we have ever signed, usually we work with freelance artists so this event will launch his latest single, Zone Out, and mark one more year around the sun for me,” said Reece Dry.
“This year with it being my 30th and such a successful year for El Gringo Records, we decided to throw another party, this time inviting Lanae to perform some of her hottest songs like Whine and Too Young ft Vybz Kartel,” he added
Lanae was in fine form at the event, belting out her latest hits. The artiste recently completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies with upper second-class honours from The University of the West Indies.
“It was a pleasure performing at the event, big respect to Jah Tee and El Gringo Records,” she said.
Dry is noted for his big soirées.
“My last birthday bash was held in Kingston last year. We threw a big street party in the ghetto with 100s of people partying until the early hours. The official video to this is available on YouTube,” Dry said.
