MLSS men cook-off for breast cancer awareness
APPROXIMATELY 16 of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security’s men teamed up to compete in its Pink Panthers & Friends Cook-Off. The competition, in support of raising breast cancer awareness, saw four teams showcasing their creative culinary skills during the nail-biting showdown of spice and sizzle for the top prize.
The judges were executive chef of the occasion Leon Meredith; hospitality consultant/trainer of Concierge by Nancy, Nancy McLean; CEO of Oasis on the Oxford Lorraine Ross-Clunie; and the ministry’s very own Chief Technical Director Dione Jennings.
Team Hard 2 Beat took home the title with its ripped fish and ackee delight served on a plate of country-style cooked ground provisions (yam, banana, and sweet potato).
