ISSA expresses condolences after the passing of competitions officer George Forbes
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) has expressed condolences to the family and friends of former longstanding competitions and executive officer, George Forbes, who died on Tuesday night.

George served ISSA for 18 years before retiring in 2020.
ISSA stated that during his tenure, Forbes provided sterling leadership to the Association and was instrumental in ISSA’s efforts to modernise its operations, while fulfilling its mandate of providing wholesome sporting competitions for member schools.
The Association also noted that Forbes served three different presidents, which was instrumental in his ability to be a source of great knowledge and guidance to the executive body, while providing significant leadership in all aspects of the ISSA’s operations.
ISSA also wished Forbes’ family and friends solace in their time of grief.
