With the eye of an artist and the technique of a Parsons grad, Rock-blooded fashion designer Carly Cushnie revisits bridal fashion — this time in partnership with BHLDN, American retailer Anthropologie’s in-house wedding boutique — with the same signature tailoring and feminine drapery that has earned her ready-to-wear collection a devout celebrity following.
The capsule collection features bridal gowns designed for contemporary brides with sophisticated options for bridesmaids and guests.
Cushnie is no stranger to dressing brides, having launched a bridal line in 2017. Her last bridal collection was presented during the Spring 2020 season.
Plus, a special shout-out to Canadian fashion designer Kathryn Bowen, who recently snagged The Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) honour for Emerging Talent in Fashion at the October 15 gala. The Toronto talent — who in May designed three dresses for Kim Kardashian West in a mere two weeks — is no stranger to The Rock; her father, Bruce, headed Scotiabank Jamaica for several years.
