Students at the institution were also treated to prizes by Sandals and Beaches Negril, including school bags, pencils, crayons, notebooks, reading books and other items.
The day’s event saw students showcasing their talents through the arts with performances of various traditional songs and dances.
Students from The Manning’s School were also present to entertain and educate the students through storytelling and songs, while principal of Mount Airy Kenn Johnson shared that, “though they are young, the preservation of Jamaica’s culture is reliant on the younger generation’s knowledge of our nation’s history”.
