Last Thursday, the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) proudly inducted Jamaican business titan, the inimitable Michael Lee-Chin into its Hall of Fame. Lee-Chin is the 28th inductee, and now shares company with, among others, Lascelles Chin, Glen Christian and Thalia Lyn, who were on hand to welcome him to the fold.
The gala was preceded by a cocktail hour where guests enjoyed The Portlander — an Appleton Estate 12-Year Rare Cask blend dedicated to Lee-Chin — while exchanging fond memories of the billionaire businessman.
Lee-Chin, in his acceptance speech, expressed his gratitude. “Tonight I thank the PSOJ for bestowing this honour on me. It has caused me to reflect on where I am coming from, where I am going, how I got here, and my way forward,” shared Lee-Chin. “There are many factors that made it all possible that had nothing to do with me… I didn’t choose my country; I was blessed… Jamaica enabled me. I will forever be grateful for that scholarship.”
