The teenager, who had received 75 per cent burns of which over 90 per cent skin graft was completed, has undergone 15 emergency surgeries and is now breathing on her own.
She is currently recovering in the Joseph M Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital of Augusta – the largest burn centre in the US.

Her care is being spearheaded by Dr Zaheed Hassan.
“They have now updated her status from survival to recovery after 39 days in ICU she is breathing on her own and talking without the assistance of oxygen,” stated the project manager of Sanmerna Foundation, Stephen Josephs.
Josephs gave the update during a thanksgiving church service for the lives of her three brothers on Sunday.
The foundation was instrumental in getting the girl overseas for treatment.
The funeral service for the girl’s three brothers – Adrianno, Jayden and Jorden Laing – is currently underway at the Footprints Seventh-day Adventist Church in Savanna-la-Mar.
Josephs noted that despite improvements, the teenager still has a long way to go.
“She still has a long road to recovery and more surgeries but she has been responding greatly to every surgery. Each day has been a miracle and Adrianna will live out her purpose and destiny that she came on earth for. She will walk out her destiny. Our God, he is awesome,” stated Josephs.
