“Do well by doing good, thank you very much,” were the closing remarks of billionaire businessman Michael Lee-Chin as he faced an audience of family, friends, and business leaders who had gathered at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel to witness his formal induction into the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) 2022 Hall of Fame. His acceptance speech — a masterclass in the nuts and bolts of success — was filled with the building blocks Lee-Chin says have guided him in business. “What I do is simple, but not easy… I am framework-driven, and I learned that from my role model Warren Buffett,” he explained.
Lee-Chin, chairman of the NCB Financial Group and Portland Holdings, was fêted by the PSOJ at a swanky affair inside the Pegasus’s Grande Jamaica Suite. A special performance by Grammy award-winning artiste Koffee wrapped the hot-ticket event.
