Touched By An Angel (cont’d)
The intimate affair — hosted by Hendrickson with the help of Select Brands, Shikima Hinds Concierge Services, Every Frilly Thing, National Bakery, Glendon Nam and The Courtleigh Hotel and Suites General Manager Kate Hendrickson-Chin — gave the women an opportunity to share, learn, and let go in between sips of Torresella Prosecco and Pink Smoothie shots from the hotel’s 24 Seven Cafe. The women were joined by Totally Male CEO Sandra Samuels, a 22-year breast cancer survivor. Her effervescence was palpable as she and the ladies traded stories, concluding that though their fight was decades apart, the will to overcome remained the same.
Tuesday Style Dryer relives the special moment, while sharing more details on microblading for cancer patients.
Are all cancer patients good candidates for microblading?
Many cancer survivors are good candidates to get microblading; however, you will need to get your doctor’s approval before getting the treatment done.
What’s the recovery like?
There’s no down time. That’s right – you get to walk out the door with perfect eyebrows! That said, it will usually take a couple of days for the skin beneath the brows to heal, and some candidates will require a second session.
TIP: If you’ve already undergone chemotherapy and have lost most of your hair, you may bring a photo of how your eyebrows looked prior to treatment, though some may prefer to have completely new brows.
