The Sygnus/MegaMart-supported Munro College Old Boys’ Association (MCOBA) Hall of Fame induction ceremony was staged at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel on Sunday, October 9.

The 10th edition of the event returned with a bang, after a COVID-19 hiatus, to cover two years in one, since no event was staged in 2021 and only a small virtual function in 2020. The inductees for 2021 were The University of the West Indies Professor Dr Robert Gray, leading banker and businessman O K Melhado, while Sonia Hayden, banker and Munro parent who gave outstanding support to Munro College and single-handedly helped dozens of Munronians secure jobs, was an honorary inductee. For 2022 the inductees were businessman and former school board chairman Dave Lyn; and the late Elias Azan, former Munro College head prefect, old boys’ association president, school board chairman, leading businessman, and honorary consul for Jamaica to Barbados.

Irie Vibe – Kumar Bent, Munro old boy and former lead vocalist of the Grammy-nominated Raging Fyah, was the special musical guest.
Brothers For A Cause – Jamaica College stalwart Gary “Butch” Hendrickson (right) joins his Munro friend, former MCOBA President Robert “Bobby” Stephens to help raise money for Munro.
