‘Herbie’, Cornwall College clash in U-16 basketball
MONTEGO BAY, St James – Montego Bay rivals Herbert Morrison Technical and Cornwall College will meet in an Under-16 game at Herbert Morrison on Friday as the ISSA/Western Confederation boys’ basketball competition continues.
Five schools are set to participate in the Under-19 section of the competition and four in the Under-16.
Both competitions are expected to end in early November.
Also on Friday, Holland High will host York Castle in a double-header in Trelawny, while St James High will only contest the Under-19 schedule.
Defending champions Herbert Morrison got off to a fast start in the Under-19 competition with a 67-10 win over Cornwall College in their opening game played at GC Foster College in Angels, St Catherine, on Tuesday.
Herbert Morrison, who was led by Reynaldo Lewin’s 25 points, led 19-2 after the first quarter and were up 35-4 at half-time and 54-6 at the end of the third quarter.
Hubert Rodney also scored 25 points for Herbert Morrison.
