Titans of industry, pioneers and up-and-coming manufacturers put their best foot forward, Saturday last, at The Grand Jamaica Suite of the Jamaica Pegasus hotel for the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) Manufacturers & Exporters (M&E) Awards ceremony in association with VM Group.

The black-tie, red carpet event — which encouraged attendees to select formal wear from local designers and retailers — commenced with a charge from JMEA President John Mahfood, followed by a five-course meal and entertainment by Jamaica’s First Lady of Jazz Myrna Hague. It then wrapped with the highly anticipated awards ceremony which featured 19 prizes.

In his opening presentation, Mahfood encouraged in colleagues: “We need to identify and capitalise on real opportunities.” Page 2 has highlights.
