Suspected St James murder-suicide victim identified
ST JAMES, Jamaica – Lawmen in St James have identified the woman who was killed during the suspected murder-suicide at a house in Paradise Heights in the parish on Friday night.
She is 28-year-old Georgian Reid, a waitress of a Paradise Heights address.
Reid’s partner, 42-year-old hotel worker Elleo Russell, was also found dead.

According to the Constabulary’s Communications Unit, cops were alerted to a house in the community about 7:30 Friday evening after residents reportedly heard a woman crying for help.
On their arrival, Russell was seen lying on his verandah with a stab wound to his upper body while Reid was seen lying on her back. The man’s stab wound is suspected to be self-inflicted.
The police were unable to ascertain Reid’s cause of death as she had no visible wounds, the OBSERVER ONLINE was told.
They were both taken to the nearby Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
When the OBSERVER ONLINE visited the St James residential community on Monday morning, one man said the couple recently moved to the community and had maintained a low profile.
“A some new people dem so mi never know dem good, but mi just hear say the woman stab up the man,” said the resident who requested anonymity.
“Mi go look and the woman nuh get no stab. It coming like a strangle him strangle her,” he added.
