Kool Kat takes third quarter of tipsters’ competition
RUDDY Allen (Kool Kat) emerged third-quarter winner of the 2022 Capital Betting and Wagering Limited/Jamaica Observer Tipsters’ Competition.
Allen won both sections of the competition — the Most Wins, as well as the Monetary category.
The defending two-time overall champion in the Most Wins category was awarded $40,000 for his effort.
Allen, who won the first two quarters, again made excellent selections to easily take the quarter with 238 winners. He finished nine winners ahead of Bernadette Bishope (Miss Cookie) with 229, as Anthony Allen (Gujurat) placed third with 228. Gerald Reid (Reidy) was fourth with 217 winners.
The other tipsters were Leslie McLean (Hot Spur – 211 winners); Sherdon Cowan (The General – 208 winners); Jah Son (Jason Duncan – 197 winners); Donald Bahadur (Sir Donald – 174 winners) and The Genius (Kingsley Gentles – 173 winners).
Meanwhile, Allen, who also won the first two quarters in the Monetary category, finished on $20,787 to take the category. Anthony Allen finished second on $15,041 with Bishope third on $7,279.
The championship quarter of the competition runs from October to December.
