‘BADDISH’ aims to thrill
THE promoters of ‘BADDISH’ are hoping to attract lovers of soca and dancehall music at the first staging scheduled for Friday, October 14 at Ocean Boulevard, downtown Kingston.
“With the growth of soca in Jamaica we see where soca is no longer just a niche product. More and more Jamaicans genuinely enjoy soca music and at the same time, being Jamaicans, there is nothing to us like dancehall. A lot of the same people you will see at a ‘Soca Forever’ party are the same people you will see at ‘Strictly 2K’ and a ‘Backyard Barbeque’. The synergy was almost inevitable, and this partnership of dancehall and soca event promoters is the perfect alliance to bring this hybrid concept to life,” Ibrahim Konteh of The Council Entertainment disclosed.
He continued, “We are targeting lovers of soca and lovers of dancehall. The young, hip, trendy, digital- savvy eventgoer as well as the more seasoned aficionados are all welcome and will have a great time at BADDISH.”
BADDISH is promoted by an experienced team of promoters, including those involved in Yung Kingz Entertainment, Strictly 2K and Romeich Entertainment.
Said Konteh, “Patrons can expect the perfect hybrid of two of the most distinct Caribbean genres. We have carefully selected the line-up we think best represents each genre, so an awesome musical experience is guaranteed. Our patrons will have a hassle-free bar experience as well as ample and safe parking options. Ladies, we encourage you to embrace the dress code and roll out in your Monday wear or short shorts. The BADDISH team is guaranteeing our patrons the best event experience on Friday, October 14.”
Several DJs have been commissioned to provide the musical vibes throughout the night. They are DJ Cyclone, Team Shella, Bloodline Franco, Brush 1, DJ Tyler, ZJ Chrome, and Shukkle Bus.
