For the first time ever, and in partnership with Motorola Razr, Teen Vogue welcomes a class of six additional winners to the Generation Next programme. The Generation Next programme is Teen Vogue‘s annual celebration of the next wave of diverse fashion designers.
The Motorola Razr has been a fun fashion staple since its inception, and to continue the brand’s presence and support of the fashion industry, Motorola is joining in on the celebration of emerging designers.
The six winners got a surprise call, via Motorola Razr, from Jodie Turner-Smith and her husband, Joshua Jackson to congratulate them!
On her Instagram page, Turner-Smith shared, “We all have that one call that changed our careers. These next-level designers produce designs that embody the future of fashion. #TheCallThatStartedItAll for me can be seen on Motorola’s TikTok now. I invite you all to join me in sharing the story of your big break!”
And the Spring/Summer 2023 Ready-to-Wear womenswear collection from luxury fashion brand Dsquared2, fronted by twin brothers Dean and Dan Catch, is fully Jamaican-inspired. The collection, released last Thursday, features body-hugging shirts with ‘Jamaica’ printed in bold above the bust area and the Dsquared2 logo below the text in the right-hand corner.
No strangers to referencing their Jamaican heritage, the brothers, who hail from Willowdale in Toronto, also included printed tees of music legend Bob Marley, in collaboration with the Marley family, in their SS23 menswear collection earlier this year.
Plus Pulse model Shantae Leslie is back to ripping the runway. Kicking off the third of the ‘Big Four,’ fashion weeks, Milan Fashion Week (MFW), the model struts in looks from luxury brands Prada and N°21.
