43 new COVID-19 cases, no deaths reported
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Ministry of Health and Wellness reported 43 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, September 6, bringing the infection total to 150,401.
The new cases comprise 24 females and 19 males, with ages ranging from 3 years to 92 years.
No deaths were reported.
The cases were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew (nine), St Catherine (eight), Manchester (six), St James (five), Westmoreland (four), St Ann (three), Trelawny (three), St Elizabeth (two), Clarendon (two) and Hanover (one).
There were 58 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 97,212.
Currently, 109 people are hospitalised, 33 of whom are moderately ill, five severely ill and two in critical condition.
Jamaica’s positivity rate for the latest round of testing is 16.9 per cent.
