iCreate appoints CEO of Visual Vibe
WHILE iCreate finalises plans to complete the agreed acquisition of outdoor media company Visual Vibe, the company has tapped Irish-born Declan Tully, its chief revenue officer, to become the CEO of Visual Vibe upon closure of the transaction.
CEO of iCreate Tyrone Wilson made the announcement during the group’s extraordinary general meeting (EGM) last Thursday, August 25.
“The opportunity to broaden the digital and creative footprint arose earlier this year with the latest planned acquisition of Visual Vibe Limited, a leading digital, out-of-home, billboard advertising company,” he told shareholders at the EGM.
According to Wilson, the acquisition will further improve iCreate’s performance and would, in fact, have had an immediate positive impact on the company’s bottom line if the business was part of its group operations up to the second quarter of 2022.
Sharing iCreate’s consolidated performance for the period ending June 30, 2022 he explained that if Visual Vibe had been included the company would have generated revenue of $141 million, with earnings after tax of just over $34 million
Earlier this year, during the company’s annual general meeting, Wilson told shareholders that iCreate would hve embarked on an “aggressive mergers and acquisition” push as the company sought to diversify its income stream. Wilson highlighted at the time that the goal was to reach $2 billion in revenue and $1 billion in total comprehensive income.
After a number of acquisitions iCreate now has five divisions: training, advertising, media and entertainment, tech and e-commerce, and real estate.
“Our advertising division now is our largest division once we’ve completed the acquisition of Visual Vibe,” he further said, adding that Vertical Creative and a joint venture operation would complete the advertising segment.
Tully, the former head of revenue and business for Digicel subsidiary Trend Media, has extensive experience in traditional and digital media and advertising.
