Business social – August 24
Spreading the “HOPE” of social housing, the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation (MEGJC) and Arc Properties Limited, on Tuesday, August 23, inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which will see the construction company contributing housing units to the Government of Jamaica’s national social housing programme.
Held at the Jamaica House Banquet Hall, the signing of the MOU builds on the foundation of a more expansive initiative started in 2018 — the Housing Opportunity, Production and Employment (HOPE) programme.
On hand to deliver the keynote address and sign the MOU was Prime Minister Andrew Holness, who also serves as portfolio minister of the MEGJC, alongside Ashley-Ann Foster Horne, managing director of Arc Properties, with government officials, private sector representatives, and members of the media serving as witnesses.
