De La Enzie Essentials

Research scientist Chenielle Delahaye-McKenzie’s initial focus during her PhD studies at The University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica was on authenticating the medicinal use of some of Jamaica’s ‘medicinal’ plants. As the research progressed, however, she would add another dimension: Using the healing and therapeutic benefits of the plants in a holistic way. Her doctorate successfully defended, Delahaye-McKenzie’s next step was to formulate a suite of products for assessment by the Scientific Research Council (SRC). The green light was given from both SRC and Bureau of Standards for essential oils, fixed carrier oils, powdered herbs, pain relievers and raw butters — just a few of the products with proven health benefits under the De La Enzie Essentials label.

“All the products have been analysed to support the claims made,” stressed Delahaye-McKenzie.

“PainOut, a blend of moringa and avocado oil, eliminates pain in minutes… it’s a topical oil that should be massaged onto the affected area. Separately, moringa oil, also known as Jamaica’s miracle oil, is used to moisturise the skin, heal burns fast, is good for haircare and to control blood pressure. Avocado oil, excellent moisturiser for the skin and hair.”

In today’s world where health has been placed on the front burner courtesy of the novel coronavirus, Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD) is delighted to share that these tried, tested and proven products, created by one of the nation’s brightest and best, are available at 11 Burlington Avenue, Kingston 10, Things Jamaican, Vista Med Pharmacy (Liguanea), Kokobeenz (Montego Bay), Island Boys, USA or Nurture-U (Kingston).
