Hampton old girls seek to raise $5m for hospital ward
MALVERN, St Elizabeth — The Hampton Old Girls’ Association (HOGA) is planning a 5k/10k for Saturday, September 24 in Black River, St Elizabeth, as part of a drive to raise funds for construction of a ward at the Black River Hospital (BRH).
Organisers say the HOGA/BRH Road Race in Black River will begin at the Waterloo Guest House to North Street, Central Road, West Avenue, Zinnia Way, Begonia Path, Lovers Lane, Exchange Drive and back to High Street. The race will end at the Waterloo Guest House. Warm-up exercises are set for 6:15 am while the race will start at 6:30 am.

Organisers are hoping that in addition to the $1,500 entry fees, participants will make a donation towards the $5-million fund-raising target.
