Bologna boss not dismayed by Man Utd’s Arnautovic hunt
Bologna Head Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic said he does not believe that the club’s forward Marko Arnautovic will join Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.
Speaking after their 1-0 Coppa Italia victory over Cosenza, Mihajlovic said, “Marko and I have a good relationship, and I have never stood in the way of a player that wants to leave. It would, of course, be a big loss if he were to leave but I think he will stay.”
Arnautovic scored 43 goals in 184 English Premier League games before he made a lucrative move from West Ham United to Chinese side Shanghai Port in 2019.
The Austria international joined Bologna on a two-year deal in 2021, and scored 14 goals in 33 Italian Serie A games last season.
United suffered a 2-1 defeat to Brighton in their first match of the new Premier League season at Old Trafford on Sunday, and ten Hag is still keen to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
