Parchment pulls out ahead of 110m hurdles finals at CWG
Jamaica’s Hansle Parchment has withdrawn from Thursday evening’s 110m hurdles final at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, OBSERVER ONLINE has been reliably informed.
Parchment, who had suffered an injury while warming up for the 110m hurdles finals at the World Athletics Championships last month, was reportedly withdrawn “out of an abundance of caution”.
It is understood that the Olympic champion was not injured, but the very cool climate in the English city contributed to the decision. The hurdler, it was also heard, had felt some discomfort prior to the semi-finals.
Three Jamaicans had qualified for the finals including Orlando Bennett and Rasheed Broadbell.
