Tik Tok tests mini games
TikTok launched a pilot test of “mini-games” in partnership with game developers Vodoo, Nitro Games, FRVR, Aim Lab and Lotem.
Players can find the list of new mini-games inside the TikTok app. The platform recently allowed creators to add one of nine mini-games to their videos with more expected soon.
According to TikTok, “The initiative is in the very early stages of testing,” and none of the games is monetised with ads or in-game purchases. The pilot simply tests how users of the service interact with and create content around the games.
Meanwhile, the Chinese Internet giant filed a trademark for a music streaming app known as TikTok Music. According to the filing, the service will apply to mobile phones and tablets, allowing users “to purchase, play, share, download music, songs, albums, lyrics, quotes, create, recommend, share his/her playlists, lyrics, quotes, take, edit and upload photographs as the cover of playlists, comment on music, songs, and albums”.
