Amazon Drive gone by year end

Amazon is encouraging users of its Amazon Drive to save their media to Amazon Photos ahead of a shutdown of the Drive from December 31, 2023.

Amazon will take the Android and iOS apps off the online app stores on October 31.

“Over the last 11 years, Amazon Drive has served as a secure cloud storage service for Amazon customers to back up their files,” said Amazon in the e-mail sent to current Amazon Drive customers. “On December 31st, 2023, we will no longer support Amazon Drive to more fully focus our efforts on photos and video storage with Amazon Photos.”

You can increase your Amazon Photos video storage with a Prime membership if needed. Additional storage costs US$1.99 per month for 100GB.
