JDTA’s Tech Talk Tuesday returns
The JDTA virtual Tech Talk Tuesday series returns on August 2nd and will run fortnightly. “It’s critical for us to educate and empower our people as we seek to make IT good for all. Creating an interactive platform to exchange ideas while allowing the wider community to interact with thought leaders and influencers in the technology industry is one ways we are doing this,” Stacey Hines, immediate past president said.
The upcoming Tech Talks will highlight areas such as Web 3, cybersecurity, e-Commerce, leveraging technology to tackle crime, digital leadership, literacy and talent.
“Tech Talks was curated to create a platform where experts and thought leaders in their field come together to educate and answer questions on topics that are relevant to tech and business, as well analyse current trends and offer their expert advise. The JTDA has always strived to live up to its mandate of access, influence and empowerment and thought it would be fitting to provide this platform for members and non members to access information relevant to them,” said Twitty-Ann ThomasVice President – Marketing and Events.
The JTDA is a technology non-profit that provides individuals with access, influence, and empowerment through technology. The organisation facilitates connection, collaboration, and exchange of views among different IT players to encourage innovation, advocacy, and new thinking.
As such, Tech Talk Tuesdays is an effort to discuss issues, ideas and trends pertinent to the ICT and digital sector and Jamaican society. Since the relaunch, the JTDA has gained traction from the topics of digital identity, data privacy, digital payments and NFTs.
Tech Talk Tuesdays streams live on the JTDA’s Youtube channel and LinkedIn.
