#World Champs: Jamaica’s Taylor secures spot in 400m final
EUGENE, Oregon – Jamaica’s Christopher Taylor has punched his ticket to the final of the men’s 400 metres at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Taylor, who is a Tokyo Olympic Games finalist, finished third in a season’s best time of 44.97 seconds in semi-final one. His semi-final was won by race favourite Michael Norman of the United States, who clocked 44.30 seconds.
Meanwhile, the other Jamaican in the event, Nathon Allen, pulled up at the early stages of the race and will not contest the final of the event.
The final of the men’s 400 metres is scheduled for Friday, July 22 at 9:35 pm Jamaica time.
