Epican introduces 16 new strains of medicinal ganja
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Epican has introduced 16 new strains of medicinal ganja to the local market as it seeks to establish itself as an international brand.
The new strains were officially unveiled to the Jamaican public at a glitzy function at the headquarters of Epican at Marketplace in St Andrew on Wednesday.
According to Epican President and Co-founder, Dwayne McKenzie, the strains, all of which will be grown on the company’s farm, are mostly exclusive.
“We have strains that even dispensaries in the US don’t have access to, because of the exclusivity. So we want it to remain exclusive, we wanted to bring some strains to Jamaica that they have never seen before in the authentic state. They have heard about it, people sing about it but they have never seen it in its original form.
“The special part about them would be the therapeutic profile. These strains are going to smell very different than anything they have ever smelled before, they are going taste different than anything they have ever had before and the quality of it, is going to be a different feel that they get,” McKenzie said.
Epican brand ambassador, dancehall artiste Aidonia, noting that his role includes testing the products, echoed McKenzie’s sentiments.
“Epican is doing this thing on a different level. Each strain will give you a different taste, different feeling, different power, and different vibes. It’s just a whole different vibe,” Aidonia said.
The new strains are indica, sativa, hybrid, runtz, blue dream, platinum girl scout cookies, gorilla glue #4, zkittlez, apple fritter, gelatti cookies, big apple, gelato 41, premium jack herer, super sour diesel, gelato 33 and biscotti.
“Sativa, get your mind active. I am personally a Sativa lover,” Aidonia said.
