Retired educator to be honoured by Pondside Primary
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – Retired educator, Conrad George Romans, will be honoured by Pondside Primary School alumni for his “unparalleled, exemplary and legacy contribution” to the school and community.
According to a release, the award ceremony is to be held at Pondside Primary in St Elizabeth, on Friday (June 17) at 2:00 pm.
Romans served as principal at what was then Pondside All Age from January 1973 to January 1977. Past students of the institution said Romans “not only touched but enriched the lives of many who continue to reap the benefits of his labour”.
Romans, who worked as an educator for 37.5 years, also served as principal at Burnt Savannah Primary, Mountainside Primary and Black River Primary and Infant, all St Elizabeth schools.
