WATCH: How are rising gas prices impacting Jamaicans’ driving habits?
KINGSTON, Jamaica – It’s becoming like clockwork on Wednesday evenings – motorists crowding gas stations following the announcement of huge increases in petrol prices.
Sky-high fuel prices are eating away at the pockets of Jamaicans, with gasoline (both 87 and 90 grades) and automotive diesel prices jumping by 28 per cent and 33 per cent respectively since the start of the year.
And the ‘gas pains’ will likely get worse as prices are expected to continue on the upward trajectory.
After another week of huge increases in fuel prices across the board, OBSERVER ONLINE took to the streets of the Corporate Area to find out whether the development is forcing Jamaicans to at least rethink their driving habits.
