Security Minister, Police Commish down with COVID-19
TRELAWNY, Jamaica – National Security Minister, Dr Horace Chang did not physically appear at the 79th staging of the Jamaica Police Federation Conference underway at the Ocean Coral Spring Resort in Trelawny on Tuesday because he has contracted COVID-19.
Dr Chang disclosed that he was tested positive for the respiratory disease on Saturday.
The Police Commissioner Antony Anderson was also absent from the conference as he is in isolation showing symptoms of the disease.
While Dr Chang virtually addressed the conference, Deputy Commissioner of Police Richard Stewart, represented the Commissioner.
The two-day conference which will conclude on Wednesday is being held under the theme: “Stronger Together Towards Tomorrow; Conquering the Challenges of Change”.
