Vows: Yours Forever
A love story seven years in the making got its picture-perfect ending when Taxpayer Service & Education Officer Craig Morgan wed accounting officer Melisha Douglas on Saturday, January 2, 2021.
The two met in 2013 while working in downtown Kingston at Tax Administration Jamaica and the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, respectively. The typical boy sees and likes girl, telephone number chase ensued. The first date took place at Hope Gardens and the proposal on November 18, 2019, at South Avenue Grill after discussions with both his and Melisha’s parents.
The Luxor Suite at Altamont Court Hotel was selected for the exchange of vows. Décor details were left in the hands of Claudette Mills, who used shades of wine red, black and white to enhance the space.
Here comes the bride…
Melisha made her entrance to Beyoncé rendition of At Last by Etta James, escorted by her father Norman Goldson. She made a stunning picture in a cap-sleeve, full-length, chapel- train mermaid gown by Mission Catwalk season six second-place winner Mercy-Ann Copeland/@ mercyj_fashion.
The proceedings were officiated by Bishop Hopeton Medley.
The reception followed with mistress of ceremony Reverend Valores Medley handling the formalities. The bridal party made its entrance to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect, followed by the newly-weds to Bruno Mars’ Marry You.
The evening continued with the unveiling and cutting of the Valore Medley wedding cake and dinner catered by the hotel staff.
The couple spent their honeymoon at Royalton Blue Waters, Montego Bay.
