Entertainment treats at KFC opening
A healthy serving of entertainment was given to guests attending the grand opening of the KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants on Manchester Road in May Pen, Clarendon, recently.
From jaw-dropping magic by Kemarch “Wizard” Dodd to the slick, choreographed moves of dance group Shady Squad, guests were thoroughly delighted.
Pizza Hut brand ambassador and recording artiste Kemar Highcon was well received with his chart-topping hit So Saucy and its follow-up Talk Bout, while hosts Ity and Fancy Cat created rib-tickling humour with their comedic routines.
Giveaways of KFC and Pizza Hut vouchers were also thrown in for good measure.
This is the first Pizza Hut restaurant in May Pen and the second KFC outlet in the town. This brings to 13 the number of Pizza Hut restaurants across the island, while it is the 38th for KFC.
Andrei Roper — brand manager at Restaurants of Jamaica Limited, operators of the KFC and Pizza Hut franchises — said the investment was a big one for May Pen.
“The investment to construct is about $150 million. Over the past year, we have opened three new KFC locations across the island and two new Pizza Hut restaurants. In total we are looking at nearly $1 billion to construct all five. This is a good investment and it’s giving our customers more accessibility to two great brands and a great range of products. This also creates employment to the country,” said Roper.
Roper continued, “It’s a big deal for us and it’s a historic occasion, and we celebrated today with our friends here in May Pen. We are giving, back to them, because they’ve given so much to us.”
