SO2
We dedicate SO2 to Thalia Lyn, who on Tuesday last was inducted into the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) Hall of Fame, making her the 27th individual and second woman to achieve this illustrious honour.
A sea of people was in attendance. At times you had to wonder if Lyn would run out of energy as she made it a point of duty to greet and take a photo with almost everyone. No easy feat, but this is the woman who, in addition to running Island Grill, is on numerous boards, including the NCB Foundation, of which she is chairman.
Canadian High Commissioner to Jamaica Laurie J Peters was the evening’s emcee, and handled her duties with aplomb.
There were heartfelt toasts delivered in person and via video, a phenomenal citation was read by Island Grill Chairman Howard Mitchell, and the evening culminated with an after-party headlined by Protoje.
Congrats to Thalia Lyn — entrepreneur, philanthropist, diplomat, mentor and titan of industry.
