Doha 2019: Danniel Thomas-Dodd bags shot put silver
DOHA, Qatar — National record holder Danniel Thomas-Dodd has won silver in the women’s shot put at the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar.
The Commonwealth and Pan-American champion made her longest throw of 19.47 metres, a personal best, on her final attempt.
This is the first ever medal for a Jamaican woman in a world champs throws competition.
Gong Lijiao won the gold with her fourth throw of 19.55m, while bronze went to Christina Schwanitz (19.17m) of Germany.
