Doha 2019: Fraser-Pryce cruises into 100m semis with 10.80s win
DOHA, Qatar — Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce easily won her heat to qualify for the women’s 100m semi-finals at the 2019 IAAF World Championships currently underway in Doha, Qatar.
Running from lane eight in heat one, Fraser-Pryce stopped the clock at 10.80 seconds, recording the fastest ever women’s 100m heat time in world champs history.
Ivory Coast’s Murielle Ahoure, the 2018 world indoor champion, recorded a season’s best of 11.05s for second, while Germany’s Gina Luckenkemper was third in 11.29s.
