JUTC drivers strike after colleague killed
This story has been updated to reflect that only one JUTC driver was killed and not two as earlier reported.
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus drivers in the Kingston Metropolitan Area and St Catherine have reportedly gone on strike following the murder of one of their colleagues.
Details surrounding the death are sketchy at this time.
However, reports reaching OBSERVER ONLINE are that the shooting death follows the fatal stabbing of a taxi operator last night.
Scores of commuters have been left stranded due to the strike.
More information later.
