Gardening – Flowers for Father’s Day
“Father! To God himself we cannot give a holier name.” — William Wordsworth.
So, a gift for God’s greatest gift to you — your dad, pop, papa — in the form of a flower bouquet is a great Father’s Day gift idea to show him how special he is. Remember men, and especially your father, have a soft side to them that loves flowers. Flowers that convey your special messages are ideal for Father’s Day. A bunch of blooming roses, for example, will convey your reverence and gratitude for him. Flowers that make a bold statement and convey masculinity are long-lasting, tall and sturdy like fathers usually are, such as tropical flowers, and are also apt for the occasion. Men love flowers in bright, hot, bold and aggressive colours like yellows, oranges, purples and reds such as tulips, chrysanthemums, daisies, asters, etc. Remember, men prefer arrangements that are mostly linear. White and red roses are considered the official flowers for Father’s Day. Note that people wear a white rose to honour a deceased father and a red rose to honour a surviving one.
